Remembrance Sunday
This weekend we would have been paying tribute to our heroes and to our annual Remembrance weekend reflections at Somervell Park with our supporters. Unfortunately this year we will be paying our respects a little bit differently, however we do so with the same sentiment.
Cambuslang Rangers Football Club have always made a big point of marking this occasion as we see it as an important landmark in the world we have today. If not for the sacrifices made in both World Wars we may not be living with the privileges and lives we now have.
Chairman, Gordon Dinnie stated,
“As we continue to cope with the pandemic that the world is going through, lets take time and remember all the brave men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice so we could have the freedom we have today.
We, as a club, will be paying our own respects this weekend at home and our flag which usually flies at our home games to mark the occasion, flies in my garden this weekend.
Stay safe and well. Hope to see you all soon.”
The Club would finally like to thank the work that Poppy Scotland and other organisations which support our Veterans do and to encourage others to contribute to these organisations should they be in a position to do so.
