MCCOLL: YOUNGSTERS HAVE A CHANCE

Paul McColl was full of joy the side's recent form and heaped praise on the debutantes following Cambuslang Rangers’ 10-1 victory over his former team, Royal Albert.

“We started the game well and could have quite easily been 2 or 3 goals up in the first 20 minutes.

I’m not sure of the last time we won a game 10-1. It was probably about 3 or 4 years ago when we played a team from up north in one of the cups but as for the league I can't remember us ever having a result like that and it could be important to get the goal tally up because of how well the likes of St Cadoc's are doing but we're not going to get ahead of ourselves. We’re looking at one game at a time.

The subs came on and done well, young Tony Hampson could have scored after a good run. He possibly should have squared it but overall he done well. Big Lewis done well when he came on too but to be honest the game was done by then so they weren't properly tested but if they stick at it they have got a chance in the next few weeks.

I do feel sympathy for my old team, Royal Albert who are struggling at the moment and hopefully they can hit a bit of form soon.

I was especially happy for wee Paddy (Queen) who hasn't played in a while. The experience of boys like Anson, Stevenson & Reidy also helped the team and I’m proud of how we’re playing right now and hopefully we can keep it going.”
